Anchor engineers were asked to carry out legionella prevention works to water based systems in Hampshire County Council (HCC) and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS)buildings. The awarded contract helps to  fulfil HCC and HFRS’s duties under the General Health and Safety Law and to manage the risks associated with legionella and other water hygiene issues. In addition the works are to ensure customer compliance with the Health and Safety Executive Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) and guidance for the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems (Legionnaires disease).
